The Heartfelt Release of Value

Never work for the income – work for the heartfelt release of value…

“And never work only for the income. Labor for the impact. Make your dominant pursuit the heartfelt release of value that represents an uncommon magic that borders on the poetic. Demonstrate the full-on expression of what’s possible for a human being to create. Develop the patience to stick with your dedication to absolute world-class output, even if over a lifetime you only generate a single masterpiece. To achieve this feat alone will have made your life’s journey a worthy trek.” (Excerpt From: “The 5 AM Club: Own Your Morning. Elevate Your Life.” by Robin Sharma)

Now, this 🔝 is a special one for me. Just a few weeks ago I was talking to my husband about work, and how, ever since I was hired to do a job, any job, for the first time, I always did my best. I cleaned the bathrooms extra well. I made every sub sandwich with love. I treated customers with all my kindness. I used my detail oriented care to do the best I could. Everything I sew, I sew with care. I cared about every single thing I did while I was working, it didn’t matter my job title, or where I was working at. And I still do this.

Work is so much more than income. Work is so much more than a career path. Work is what you occupy yourself with every day, it determines the quality of your life. And remember, it is not what you do – buy how you do it that matters.

It is my deepest wish that this way of seeing labor never leaves me. I hope to continue bringing value to everything I do. And what I love the most is when I get to do that with others, my coworkers, employers, customers. The connection between people is what truly fuels the fire, and the heartfelt release of value 🔥
